AuthorMapper is a free website developed by Springer Science+Business Media that searches journal articles and book chapters and plots the location of the authors on a map. In addition to mapping the location of the authors, AuthorMapper provides faceted search filtering based on keywords (in cloud tag form), date published, country, institution, author, publication, publication type, publisher, and subject. Results are shown with title, publication, and author information displayed, as well as a short snippet of text and thumbnails of images from the article. Links to SpringerLink for full text download (pay-per-download) and quick posting to Citeulike are provided.
AuthorMapper has access to SpringerBioMed Central journals as well as ebook data. The platform has access to more than three million journal articles and more than 742,000 book chapters from 29,000 ebooks.[1]
