Centrifuge Systems is a company that specializes in data visualization and analysis programs. These programs are multi-purpose and can be used in conjunction with patents to form "relationship graphs" among many other maps and graphics. Centrifuge's strength is the "free-form" data exploration via link analysis techniques.

This is an area where the private sector would be well served by studying the methods used by the US Intelligence Community. This community has been in the business of understanding massive amounts of data for a long time and the applications are as mission critical as they get.
