Introduction

According to the "About" section of the website, Chemicalize.org is a "public web resource developed by ChemAxon which uses ChemAxon's Name to structure parsing and structure based predictions to identify chemical structures from web pages and other text and provide predicted data related to each structure."[1] Chemicalize.org is a free public resource, and its creator, ChemAxon, is a company that creates "cheminformatics software development platforms and applications for the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries." [2]

Use

You must first go to the "landing page" of the website at Chemicalize.org[1], and you can then:

  • Paste the web page URL into the search box, and chemicalize.org generates a "parsed version of the web page where any chemical names in the page have been appended with a structure image of the identified name (denoted with dotted underline). By clicking on any structure image you are taken to the data page where all available structure based predictions can be shown for the structure." [1]
  • Upload, draw or type "a chemical name or chemical file content (limited file type support)," and "the corresponding structure is generated within the data page, again with all available structure based predictions." [1]
