Introduction
Datasets International is a free website that allows users to search "peer-reviewed open access journals that are devoted to the publication of dataset papers."[1] Datasets International is a division of the open access publisher Hindawi Publishing Corporation.[2] The journals are organized by subject, and "each journal is collaboratively run by an international Editorial Board of experts in the subject area of the journal."[1] The site publishes on an open-access model where:[3]
The publication costs are usually covered by the author's institution or research funds. These Open Access charges replace subscription charges and allow the publishers to make the published material freely available to all interested online readers.
Use
Users can choose to browse journals by subject or by title. After selecting a journal title, the user can view the following information and options for each journal:
