Introduction
DrugPatentWatch is a subscription database containing “patent status,” “regulatory status,” “drug information,” and “trends and historical information” about pharmaceutical drugs.[1] DrugPatentWatch also publishes “Pharmaceutical Industry Reports [...] produced by data-mining the DrugPatentWatch Database, and [providing] detailed information on FDA-approved pharmaceutical drugs.”[2]

Features and Availability
The DrugPatentWatch database includes three subscription plans:[3]
- The Basic Plan includes “information on drug patents”, including “patent titles, abstract, inventors, and assignees” and “patent and regulatory exclusivity listings.” [3]
- The Premium Plan includes “patent maintenance, reexamination, interference, and disclaimer, trends in patent expiration and top patent holders, search by therapeutic class and dosage type, historical archives, drug sale figures, full-text patent downloads, Paragraph IV challenges, patent claim types, and tentative approvals.” [3]
- The Ultimate Plan includes “all the features of the premium and basic plans,” as well as clinical trial and international patent information, and lets you “export search results to .xls or .csv.” [3]
