ISI Web of Science
For some patents in Delphion, the cited non-patent literature articles are linked to an ISI Web of Science document record. These records may be viewed for free, where available. When selected, these links load the document abstract and bibliographic data in a separate window, allowing the user to preview the content of that article without leaving Delphion. Unfortunately, ISI records are the only content linked to these citations: links to the full document images are not available. In addition, users should note that the ISI record text is not searchable (in other words, it is not covered during any keyword search conducted in the Delphion system). Links to ISI Web of Science articles will most likely only appear in patents published later than 1991, according to Thomson representatives. The links are updated monthly.
Not all literature citations in Delphion are linked to their corresponding record; only a percentage of literature records in the database have this feature. Exact data on the coverage of ISI links for literature citations in Delphion has not been provided by Thomson.
