Japan

English-language Japanese abstracts (Patent Abstracts of Japan, or PAJ) are available in Delphion from April 1973 to date, along with representative first page images.

INPADOC bibliographic data has been merged into the Japanese collection. This was a natural step for Delphion, as previously users interested in JP data might make the mistake of selecting only the Japanese abstracts collection to search in, thereby possibly missing some bibliographic data on JP patents available in the INPADOC bibliographic file.

Delphion contains front-page images for JP documents, and full document images for JP records have been incorporated from the EPO's image database, which is also loaded on Delphion. Full document images other than US, EP and WO/PCT are available on a pay-per-download basis.
