Prosecution Histories
Prosecution histories (also called file histories) can be ordered by selecting the File Histories tab at the top of any hit list or work file. In addition to offering PDF copies of the documents in their collections, Delphion is a nominal provider of file histories. In reality, Delphion is able to offer this service as a benefit from Thomson’s acquisition of Information Holdings/MicroPatent, a provider of electronic file histories. Delphion provides the MicroPatent file-history ordering service as a convenience to their customers; however, any requests made through Delphion go directly to the MicroPatent staff. (The same is likely true of the recently released Thomson Innovation search product.)
