The EP and WIPO Databases

In addition to the coverage of the Worldwide database, these two data collections are maintained as a catalog of EP and PCT publications occurring over the last 24 months, and are accessible from the EP domain of esp@cenet. The benefit of these collections is that new documents are sometimes added to these databases more quickly than they would appear in the Worldwide database. Abstract searching and ECLA classification searching are not permitted in these databases, and the resulting hits are not linked to INPADOC legal status, full text sections, or image mosaics. Only the original document images are provided alongside the bibliographic data. These are provided by the EPO in addition to the national collections on esp@cenet, discussed further in the next section of this article.
