Import Functions
Espacenet does not offer any patent number or search strategy importing functions (beyond allowing a search on up to ten document numbers at one time). The service does, however, offer data export, described in the next section of this article, Export Functions.
Editor's Note:It was once speculated that these limitations were maintained as another way to avoid competition with commercial providers of patent data.
