Viewing Results
DECOPA results pages display minimal bibliographic information; instead of reviewing results in-system, users are provided with hyperlinks to review the document records on other major search sites. The results page within the QuickSearch mode displays a relevancy score along with a rough guess at the patent document's legal status (indicated by a color, as seen in the figure below). A more detailed hit list with abstract and representative image (when available) can be seen by clicking on the Expand view link, taking users to partner site IP Newsflash.
Results can also be emailed or printed from the QuickSearch interface.
Editor's Note:Although it could not be verified through DECOPA help files, INPADOC is the probable source of legal status data within DECOPA. This is because INPADOC legal status is also used within esp@cenet, which serves as a source of patent information for DECOPA.
