Weighting and Ranking Features
If a keyword search is necessary in addition to MARPAT structure searching, MARPAT records can be transferred into the CAplus file on STN, and a keyword search can be performed in the answer set in CAplus. From there, the FOCUS command can be used to rank the answer set by occurrence, proximity and location of keyword terms. Unfortunately keyword searching and the FOCUS command cannot be used in MARPAT itself. For more information about this command see the training material on the CAS website.
