Import Functions
The manual input menu in PatAnalyst serves as a method of importing document numbers. The documents can be imported to a preexisting working list or a new working list can be created on the spot.
Further importing functions include importing saved log files, user defined layouts, and cross-files. Cross files are simple text files containing a list of patent document numbers. These files can be imported to another database to further search the data.
Editor's Note:PatAnalyst is very strict in accepting patent number formats including the correct spacing and content of numbers, commas and kind codes. Additional care may need to be exercised when importing a list of document numbers.
