Alerts
The alert feature in PatAnalyst is accessed through the Query Alert Editor, which gives users the ability to enter the:
- query
- email address to which the notification is delivered
- expiry date
- view date
- database
- name and description of the alert
The query alert editor offers several options for managing and creating alerts.
Alerts can be run every Tuesday when the databases are updated. The user will receive and email telling him/her if there have been new results for the query, but the results will not be transmitted via email. This is a security measure. Alerts can only be delivered to one email address.
Editor's Note:The barebones approach to results reporting is understandable from a security perspective, but it would be nice to offer the convenience of in-email result reporting as well as control over the frequency and exact time of the delivery.
