Weighting and Ranking Features
QPAT does not use keyword weighting features to rank hits based on possible relevance.
The Patent Examiner application, which is a program for viewing and in-depth analysis of results sets, does allow users to define their own ranking criteria (based on a five-star system) and apply it to references.
Editor's Note:The lack of a hit list ranking system in QPAT could be seen as an indication that the system is designed for users conducting full-scale investigations that require comprehensive reviewing, rather than the retrieval of a couple of the most relevant hits.
