STN also provides users with access to well-known worldwide science and technology databases such as BIOSIS, DWPI (WPIDS/WPINDEX/WPIX), EMBASE, GENBANK, INPADOCDB, Inspec, MEDLINE, and SCISEARCH.
Especially of note, STN is the only tool that allows the user to search three key databases: CAplus, DWPI (WPIDS/WPINDEX/WPIX), and INPADOCDB simultaneously.
STN includes databases produced by Adis International Limited, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), IMS HEALTH, Thomson Reuters, and the worldwide patent issuing authorities. Also included in STN’s data coverage are genetic sequence searching databases such as REGISTRY, GENBANK, DGENE (GENESEQ™), PCTGEN, and USGENE.
