None of the three STN interfaces possess a simple internal document delivery option. Regardless of which interface is used to access STN, full text document delivery is done through a hyperlink that opens a new browser window containing an order form and more information on ordering the document in HTML, PDF, or a mailed hardcopy (depending on availability) through the STN Full-Text Solution service (made up of two services, CAS Full Text Options and Fiz AutoDoc).
In STN Express, full text documents, if available, are accessed by clicking on the "Full Text" hyperlink that appears when displaying a record in the terminal view and opens a web browser with a document order form. You may order the full text via fax or mail delivery, or via direct electronic access, if available.
In STN on the Web, when full text is available for a record, a "Full Text" button will appear along with the bibliographic information when the answer is displayed. Clicking this button will open the same browser window that appears when using STN Express. Note: the Full Text button will not display when viewing titles only (TI display mode).
When you click the Full Text button, the clock used for connect-time billing of the STN session is stopped. The clock starts again when the next STN command is submitted, either directly from the command line or from one of the Assistants.
