Viewing Patent Drawings
Patent drawings are available through pay per-download searchable PDF document images of most patents. Representative chemical structure images are also available for chemical structure searches as well as "named searches" within SureChem Pro. US patent documents from 2001 forward will display chemical structure images in a separate "chemical images" tab.
As of August 2009, SureChem has formed a partnership with ChemSpider. The result for SureChem Pro subscribers is a link on every chemical structure page, "Search ChemSpider." When clicked, the link will take the user to the ChemSpider page for the chemical structure. This feature is not available for free users.
Editor's Note:The new relationship between ChemSpider and SureChem is very significant for users of both services. The scientific information provided by ChemSpider is easy to access and greatly broadens the effective data available from SureChem. Though ChemSpider is a free service and could have been used in conjunction with SureChem by individual users, tying the two together with a simple link for each structure represents a substantial savings in time and effort for SureChem subscribers.
