United Kingdom
United Kingdom patent applications (GB-A) are included in the collection from 1916-present. According to the help file, no patent drawing coverage is available. The collection was created by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. The collection is updated weekly.[1]
Editor's Note:This is a full text collection; however, the help guide states that abstracts for these documents do not exist before 1999. Before 1999, GB records were published without abstracts. However, most pre-1999 GB records now have an associated abstract due to a project by the UK patent office to manually create abstracts for these documents.
In addition, according to the help file, no patent drawing coverage is available. However, it is worth remembering that any record in Innovation may be supplemented by its DWPI record, which contains a representative family image. Below is a screenshot of a GB record, for which Innovation can display multiple one related patent drawings.
