Updates
Most patent data collections in Innovation are updated on a weekly basis.
Users can view the update frequency for each authority collection by looking at the "Update Frequency" column in the Patent Collection Coverage Chart.
View the "Update Frequency" column of the Thomson Innovation coverage chart (circled in red) to see how often the collections for each patent authority are updated.
Users can view the date when the collection was last updated and the date of the next scheduled update for the following collections through the Collection Coverage and Update Chart:

Below is a list of the stated update frequencies for each collection according to Thomson Innovation help materials:[1][2][3]

| JP - English (bibliographic) | Monthly. Usually within 3 months of publication. |
| JP - Human Assisted Translation | Weekly. Update intervals and dates are irregular, based on receipt of the data. The next scheduled update date is a best-estimate based on experience. |
| JP - Japanese | Weekly (F Terms/FI Codes and Legal Status: Biweekly) |
| CA | Weekly |
| CN - Human Assisted Translation | Weekly, usually within two weeks of the publication date. |
| DE | Weekly |
| GB | Weekly |
| FR | Biweekly |
| KR - English (bibliographic) | Monthly. Usually within 3-4 months of publication. |
| KR - Machine Translation | Weekly, usually within two weeks of the publication date. |

Notes
- INPADOC legal status and worldwide patent database is updated on a weekly basis. This would be a standard expectation for most subscriber patent search databases.
- Update schedules for EPO Procedural Status, US Maintenance Status, and US Reassignment data can be found on the Patent Collection Coverage Chart. See the section of this report on legal status information coverage for all available update schedules for other legal status fields.
